The Wizard
The Wizard was carved from a piece of found wood (as many of my carvings are). Painted with acrylic.
An Introduction
There is something about wood that is primitive, visceral and earthly.
Shaping, cutting, finishing it is very satisfying to me. While my skill is still growing, I find whittling, woodworking, carving and pyrography relaxing and artistically rewarding. I tend to give away my work as gifts so many of my finished creations reside in other homes and I never took pictures of them.
I will post pictures and links of my work, and that of others I admire as well as videos and links about skills I am learning.
